Our commitment

We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with visual, motor, auditory, cognitive or other disabilities. We aim to meet the AA standard of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 wherever practical, and to keep improving as the site develops.

What we've done

• Built the site with semantic, structured HTML so it can be read correctly by screen readers and other assistive technology
• Kept navigation consistent across every page, with clear, descriptive link text
• Used colour combinations intended to give sufficient contrast between text and background
• Made sure pages are fully usable via keyboard as well as mouse or touch
• Designed the layout to adapt sensibly across desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes

Known limitations

This site is a work in progress and new pages will be added over time. As with most websites, some third-party elements — such as the web fonts used for headings and body text — sit outside our direct control, though we've chosen ones that render clearly across common browsers and assistive technologies. If you come across anything that's difficult to use, we'd like to know so we can fix it.
